1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
Loves: Blue Sky Alpaca Cotton (dyed or organic), SWTC Soysilk & Bamboo, Handmaiden Sea Silk, Panda Cotton BMFA Sock Candy, Knit Picks Shine, Blue Sky Alpacas Skinny Cotton, BSA Organic and Dyed Cotton, and Rowan Calmer. I like soft yarns and don’t mind acyclic blends like Calmer!
Dislikes: 100% scratchy acrylic Don’t mind Bernat Soft Touch or Caron Simply Soft for blankets. Novelty yarns and yarn I’m allergic to (read all animal fibers [minus silk] of any percentage!)! I have A LOT of allergies so head on over to the list!
2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in? Mostly in my Knitpicks case or plastic storage bin and straights in a fabric case that my m-in-law helped me sew
3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced? I’ve been knitting for two years now. I’ve been crocheting on and off since I was 4. I learnt to knit by taking a class and the instructor decided to teach me continental because I just couldn’t wrap my head around English and ever since then I’m been addicted. I consider myself an adventurous intermediate knitter.
4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list? I don’t read paper books anymore but I do read e-books in mobipocket format from Books on Board and audiobooks. My wish list is NOT up-to-date I do have a lot of knitting books that are listed on Ravelry
5. What’s your favorite scent? mint, almond, lavender*, vanilla*, jasmine*, mango, coffee, hazelnut, eucalyptus, rosemary and a bit more. *if not overly strong
6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy? Yes!! Gummies especially gummy worms and Swedish berries, fuzzy peaches, cinnamon hearts and jelly beans. I love candy ginger and mango too!
7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin? I don’t spin. I crochet, play with beads and occasionally make stitch markers. I also love to bake and cook. I’ve been collecting vegan cookbooks because they are the easiest cookbooks to find that are non-dairy. I have Vegan with a Vengeance, Vegancomicon and Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World and I need to add more to the collection. I’ve been dabbling in photography and want to do some collages and decoupaging as well.
8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD) It varies don’t like most country and rap. Favourites include Tori Amos, Great Big Sea, Ella Fitzgerald Coldplay, Muse, Radiohead, and the list goes on.
9. What’s your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can’t stand?
Favourites: blue, green, red (shades of cobalt, indigo, midnight, kelly, forest, moss, olive, jade, burgandy, venetian, sangria (jewel tones and earth tones), purple, hot pink (only when mixed with black!)
Dislikes: most pastels (don’t mind the occasionally but it’s rare), yellow. orange, baby pink
10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets? Live with my partner, His Tallest and my teenage daughter mini-me. We have fish and my guide dog a black lab named Maylee. Note: Thanks for all those pals who sent Maylee dog treats; however in the future please do not do so, she is on a strict allergy diet as well as there are a lot of toys she can’t play with due to the fact she is a guide dog and I’m visually impaired.

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit? socks, dishcloths, scarves, toys and I’m on a bit of a lace kick right now
13. What are you knitting right now? Rogue for NaKniSweMo, Wyvern socks and holiday presents such as washcloths and crocheted grocery bags
14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts? yes 
15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic? I prefer circs but have enough needles of all sizes I need at the moment thanks. I have two set of metal knitpicks and one set of harmonies plus harmony fixed circs in all sock sizes and a Harmony dpn set, see I’m definitely set!

17. How old is your oldest UFO? Tie between cables and os cardi (lol still but there has a been a bit of progress!) and a pair of vanilla socks (victim of SSS) both started in August 2007
18. What is your favorite holiday? What winter holiday do you observe? Summer and Winter Solstice and Chinese New Year. I celebrate the Winter Solstice/Yule. Also for my daughter we celebrate Christmas (non-religious type)
19. Is there anything that you collect? stitchmarkers, kawaii stationary, books (now in it’s easier due to my Cybook!)
20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have? I have subscriptions to Interweave Knits, and Interweave Crochet. I’d be very happy getting some more BMFA Sock Candy, and I really want to try Farmhouse Yarns I’m allergic to wool. Books I ended up buying a whole bunch recently so there isn’t really any on my wishlist.

21. Are there any new techniques you’d like to learn? not at the moment just conquered my first short row heel!!
22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements? yes!! length is 8 1/2 inches, midfoot circumference is 8 inches, instep (around ankle and heel) is 11 inches 10 inches, ankle 8 1/2 inches and calf is 9 1/4 inches. Yay these are more for me than anyone else really. I lost some weight so my foots slims, wierd huh?
